Breakaway - Opportunities for learning disabled adults

Breakaway is a free short break, activity based respite service aimed at adults with a range of learning disabilities who may also have a physical disability or a mental health condition.

The aim of Breakaway is to provide leisure and developmental opportunities for adults with a range of learning disabilities once their school career has ended. Last Year Breakaway provided engaging activities for over seventy adults with a range of learning disabilities.

Breakaway also supports family members and carers through the provision of regular breaks, from what is often a full time and demanding caring responsibility. Over one hundred Carers currently benefit from the regular respite provided

Breakaway is managed and administered by the leading social care agency Support for Living which is registered as an industrial and Provident Society (27062R) with charitable status.
